As a person,

I love diving into new material, so when I learned advanced SQL concepts to produce a running total of my employer's inventory, I knew I wanted to become a developer. Since taking the plunge, I now have an endless pool of coding concepts to satisfy my voracious appetite for solution‐building.

I do as much as I can with vanilla JavaScript because that gives me the best understanding of how browsers, frameworks, and the web work, although I happily work with frameworks to renew my sense of wonder for what can be done in the language.

When I am not programming, I read literature and philosophy, make sauerkraut, and walk around town.

I've built the following things:

A garden management app that stores crop information and records notes about important events or milestones.

Stack: React, Mongo, Node, Express.

Bibliofile (live, repo)

A reading list generator that traverses a graph of user-entered citations starting with a work that you supply.

Stack: jQuery, Mongo, Node, Express.

What Should I? (live, repo)

A recommendation app that gives a book to read, movie to watch, or music to listen to based on your favorites in all three categories.
